loving God...and other stuff

Me: "What do you want for breakfast?"
Simon: "Whole wheat bread!"

"Can we watch the Bible show? 'Cause I love God!"

"I can't pray to balls because they're not God."

Simon: "I have to pick my nose 'cause I think there are bogeys up there."
EWWWW!

Better than UPS

This morning, my little guy said, "Mom, I've got a special delivery for you!" then he gave me a huge hug and kiss. What a great way to start the morning!

Simon: "Am I a heathen?"
Oh boy.

He has also told me that he is collecting toys, so he needs some more. That's one of the most original ways of having the gimmies that I've heard of.

Simon: "Why does Baby Hailey make funny noises?"
Me : "Because she's a baby and she's still learning how to talk."
Simon: "It's easy. Just open your mouth!"

A little music

Good morning! Today started out with a cute little conversation with Simon.

Simon: "Can we listen to the bug music?"
Me: "What bug music? I don't know what you're talking about, buddy."
Simon:"The bug music! The one that goes 'Come over, right now, with me'"
Me: "Do you mean that you want to listen to the Beatles." (Come Together)
Simon: "Yeah, that's what I'm talking about!"
My little guy LOVES the Beatles and Radiohead!

He also wanted to know why his tongue didn't turn white when he drank his  milk. Silly boy.

Last night Simon looked at Jeff and said, "I have a good idea. How about we stay awake all night and never go to sleep."
Silly boy.

This morning Jeff was singing "I am the Walrus" by the Beatles and Simon yelled, "You're not the walrus! You're Spiderman!"

Like the adults in the Charlie Brown cartoon...

Simon: "I have a parent on my arm! He's red and he said 'caw'!"
Me: "Do you mean parrot?"
Simon: "Yeah. Parent. Right."
Me: "Does it say 'Polly want a cracker'"?
Simon: "No. It only talks parent. CAW!"

Here goes nothing

Well, this is my attempt to start a blog of all the cute things Simon says and does-mainly so I don't forget anything, but also because I like sharing our life with people who aren't necessarily able to see us all the time.
Simon has been battling allergies for the last few days, which has resulted in some very gross moments. Don't worry, those don't need to be repeated!

He has been showing me his Buzz Lightyear toy a lot today and asking, "Is he a him?"
Of course, he's also pointed me out to Jeff and asked, "Is she a him?", so I think he's got a ways to go before he has that down.
