The Blue Jordan River
Simon was brushing his hair (after soaking it in the sink first) and
somehow managed to give himself a jerry curl. I asked, "Simon, how'd you
get to be so cute?"
He answered, "I kinda think God made me that way."
Simon: "I sorta like pants, but I like underwear better."
Simon: "I wish I could fly to the top of the Statue of Litterly like Superman."
Me: "Do you mean the Statue of Liberty?"
Simon: "The one that looks like a lady holding up something weird."
Yesterday I asked Simon what he wanted for lunch. He said waffles and I
told him no (he ate those for breakfast), then macaroni and cheese. When
I told him no to that (he ate that for dinner the night before; a
special treat since boxed mac & cheese isn't exactly healthy), he
sighed and said, "Well, then. I guess I'm out of options."
Simon: "When I grow up, I want to be a race car driver because I'm a transformer that transforms into a race car, then- VROOM!"
Yesterday, I made a "sight word treasure hunt" in our bathtub. Simon loved it! He told me he was "in the blue Jordan River".
